Sun Exposure: Avoid unprotected UV (sun) exposure for at least 4 weeks before treatment. To achieve op.mal results, we recommend minimising unprotected UV exposure throughout your treatment course.
Daily SPF: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ (UVA/UVB) sunscreen every day.
Exfoliating Products: Use exfoliating skincare products as recommended by your Dermal Therapist to prepare the skin and enhance treatment results.
Retinoids: Discontinue the use of prescription vitamin A products (e.g., Retrieve®, Re.n-A®, Steva-A®) or high-strength over-the-counter retinol 5 days before treatment unless otherwise directed.
Cold Sores/Herpes: If you have a history of cold sores, consider taking an.viral medication prior to treatment to help prevent an outbreak.
Recent Injectables: Areas treated with muscle relaxants (e.g., BOTOX®) or dermal fillers must be fully healed—without any swelling, bruising, redness, or discomfort—before proceeding with skin treatments.
Avoid Skin Trauma: Do not undergo waxing or any treatments that could irritate the skin 48–72 hours prior to your appointment.
Health Updates: Please inform the clinic if there are any changes to your medications or lifestyle between now and your treatment, so we can provide appropriate guidance.

Moisturisers and Lotions: Avoid products with strong fragrances or active ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, and vitamin C. During the healing phase, use only gentle, non-irritating products until your skin no longer feels sensitive. Once healed, you may resume your prescribed skincare regimen.
Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ (UVA/UVB) sunscreen daily, and avoid direct sun exposure.
Heat Exposure: Refrain from activities that increase body heat, such as vigorous exercise, for 12–24 hours.
Chlorinated Water: Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 12–24 hours after treatment.
Skin Care: Do not pick or pull at any areas of flaking, as this may lead to infection or scarring.

Expected Skin Changes in the Next 7 Days level 1-2 peels

Day 1: Mild redness and sensitivity.
Days 2–3: Possible flaking or exfoliation, though this is uncommon and may not be visible after lower-strength chemical peels.

Each client's experience may vary, but the following is a general guide of what to expect within the first 10 days after your Aspect™ Professional Peel treatment.

Immediately Post-Treatment

Skin may feel sensitive for up to 24-48 hours.

Day 1 Post-Treatment

Your skin may appear flushed, with potential redness.

Day 2 Post-Treatment

Skin may feel tight and dry.

Day 3-7 Post-Treatment

Peeling may begin, typically around the mouth and chin, gradually progressing outward.

Day 7-10 Post-Treatment

Light flaking may still be present around the perimeter of the face.
If peeling has stopped and there’s no irritation, you may gradually reintroduce AHA/BHA and Vitamin A products into your routine.

AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy Acid) peels utilise a blend of Lactic and Glycolic Acid at concentrations ranging from 20% to 70%. Glycolic acid, derived from sugar cane and Lactic Acid, sourced from milk, work together to gently resurface the upper layers of the epidermis while enhancing moisture levels. These superficial peels eﬀectively improve pigmentation, fine lines, and mild textural irregularities while stimulating collagen production in the deeper skin layers. AHA peels are ideal for treating mild sun damage, pigmentation, and loss of elasticity.

Avoid unprotected UV (sun) exposure for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to treatment. It is recommended you avoid unprotected UV exposure throughout the duration of your treatments to achieve maximum results.
Wear broad spectrum SPF 30+ (UVB/UVA) daily.
The use of exfoliating skin care products recommended by your Dermal Therapist will help prepare the skin for treatments and enhance results.
Discontinue using prescription vitamin A (Retrieve ®, Retin A®, Steva A®) or high-strength over the counter retinol 5 days before your treatment unless advised otherwise.
If you have a history of herpes/cold sores, you may wish to take anti-viral medication prior to treatment, to prevent an onset.
Areas treated with muscle relaxants (eg. BOTOX®) or dermal fillers must be completely healed (eg. no swelling, bruising, redness or discomfort) before any skin treatment can be performed.
Do not have waxing done (or anything that will cause trauma to the skin) 48-72 hours prior treatment.
Please phone the clinic if any medication or life style changes occur between now and your next treatments, so we can advise on the appropriate action.

Do not use moisturisers or lotions which are highly perfumed or contain active ingredients such as retinol, glycolic acids and vitamin C. Instead please use bland products during the healing phase or until your skin is no longer sensitive. Thereafter please use your prescribed skin care regime.
